
Jane Austen’s cousin, Edward Copper held the livings of Hamstall Ridware and of Yoxall, both in the gift of the Honourable Mrs Mary Leigh of Stoneleigh Abbey in Warwickshire. Jane Austen, Cassandra Austen and Mrs George Austen visited Hamstall Ridware in the summer of 1806.
